Maldives is a country in the South Asian region of Asian continent.

It's capital city is Male.

It has a population of about 427,750 people.



Handulu Bondibai is a famous Maldivian dish.

Handulu Bondibai is sweetened sticky rice dessert.

It is made of rice, sugar, cardamom, Pandan leaves, rose water and coconut milk.

It is prepared by cooking together rice, water and coconut milk in a pan before being added cardamom and Pandan leaves.

Once the rice is fully cooked, sugar is added and mixed until the rice is thick and sticky. Rose water is then added and mixed together.

It is mostly eaten for lunch or special occasions.
