Guyana is a country in the South American continent.

It's capital city is Georgetown.

It has a population of about 773,300 people.







Metemgee or Metem is a famous Guyanese dish.

Metemgee is mixed vegetable and dumplings stew.

It is made of flour, cassava, sweet potatoes, plantain, okra fingers, corn on cob, onion, garlic, thyme, scotch bonnet pepper, tomato paste, coconut milk, butter, milk, salt and seasoning.

It is normally served with dumplings made from flour and milk.

It is mostly eaten for lunch.
