Bunya, Bunia or Bounga is a famous Ni-Vanuatu dish.

Bunya is a dish made of root vegetables, meat and coconut milk..

It is made of chicken, octopus, kumala sweet potato, taro, coconut milk, tomatoes, spring onion, boy choy or other leafy vegetables.

It is prepared by arranging all the ingredients in a banana leave which is then wrapped and cooked in an underground oven with hot stones.

It is mostly eaten for lunch or special occasions.
