Parotta is a North Indian food but has many South Indian variations. It is a layered flatbread which is prepared by mixing refined flour, egg, oil and water into a dough. The dough is then beaten into thin layers and later forming a round spiralled into a ball using these thin layers. The ball is rolled flat and pan fried. Parotta is usually eaten with different types of curry. It is mostly eaten for breakfast.
