Ecuador is a country in the South American continent.

It's capital city is Quito.

It has a population of about 16.4 million people.







Fanesca is a famous Ecuadorian dish.

Fanesca is fish and vegetables soup.

It is made of rice, salted cod fish, onions, garlic, white squash, pumpkin, peas, yellow lentils, chickpeas, corn, beans, cabbage leaves, ground peanuts, butter, milk, cheese, egg, plantain, pepper, chili powder, cumin, cilantro and salt.

It is normally served with hard-boiled egg, fried plantain and cheese.

It is mostly eaten for lunch or special occasions like Easter.
