Maamoul is a famous Bahraini food.

Maamoul is cookies filled with dates.

It is made of flour, dates, milk, sugar, ghee, butter, yeast, cinnamon, cardamom, orange extract, almond, salt and oil.

It is prepared by mixing the ingredients to create dough balls which is then flattened and pressed into mold and baked.

It is mostly eaten as dessert or as snack food.
