It is made of flour, eggs, butter, sugar, cornstarch, lemon peel, vanilla and salt.

It is prepared by mixing all the ingredients to produce a thick batter which is repeatedly poured over a rotating horizontal spit and slowly baked in the oven or over an open fire.

It is mostly eaten as dessert.
