It is made of flour, yeast, butter, honey, sugar, molasses, baking soda, Anise, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, walnuts, slivered almonds, orange peel, cherries, lemon zest and orange juice.

It is normally decorated with walnuts and slivered almonds.

It is mostly eaten as dessert.
