Saheena is deep fried fritters of dasheen leaves and split peas batter.
It is made of flour, dasheen or taro leaves, split peas, saffron, baking powder, green seasoning, salt and oil.
It is normally served with chutney.
It is mostly eaten for breakfast or as snack food.
