Pemmie or Paime is a famous Saint Lucian dish.
Pemmie is boiled cornmeal mixture wrapped in banana leaves.
It is made of cornmeal, coconut, pumpkin, sugar, milk and essence.
It is prepared by mixing all the ingredients which is then wrapped in banana leaves and then boiled.
It is mostly eaten for breakfast or as snack food.
