It is made of kidney beans, black-eyed beans, chickpeas, soya beans, mung beans, green beans, black beans, white beans, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, black mustard seeds,lovage seeds, tomatoes, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, onion, garlic, ginger, salt and mustard oil.

It is normally garnished with chopped green onions.

It is usually served with rice or flatbread.

It is mostly eaten for lunch.
