Quarkballchen or Quark Balls is a famous German food.
Quarkballchen is fried dough balls.
It is made of flour, eggs, quark, milk, butter, sugar, powdered sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, lemon zest, corn starch and oil.
It is prepared by mixing all the ingredients which is then shaped into small dough balls before being fried until golden brown.
It is normally coated in powdered sugar.
It is mostly eaten as snack food.
