It is made of phyllo dough, butter, milk. sugar, corn starch, pistachios, vegetable shortening, heavy cream, custard, rose water, orange blossom water and lemon juice.
It is normally filled with custard or heavy cream.
It is usually topped with sweet sugar syrup and decorated with pistachios, almonds, sweet cheese or walnuts.
It is mostly eaten as dessert or for special occasions.
