It is made of rice, pinto or navy beans, onion, garlic, carrots, cabbage, butternut squash, tomato paste, cilantro, vegetable broth, green pepper, black pepper and salt.

It is normally garnished with cilantro.

It is usually served with diced avocados.

It is mostly eaten for lunch.
