Kurt or Korut is a famous Kazakh food.

Kurt is fermented milk chalk balls.

It is made of milk and salt.

It is prepared by boiling the milk to separate the whey and curds which is then poured into a bag and pressed into small ball shapes before dried until rock hard.

It is mostly eaten as snack food.
