Sri Lanka is an island country in the South Asian region of the Asian continent.
It's capital city is Colombo.
It has a population of about 21.7 million people.
Watalappan or Watalappam is a famous Sri Lankan food.
Watalappan is coconut pudding.
It is made of coconut milk, eggs, kitul jaggery or dark brown molasses sugar, cardamom, nutmeg, cashew nuts and salt.
It is normally topped with roasted cashew nuts or caramelized banana slices.
It is mostly eaten as dessert or on special occasions.
