Genfo is stiff porridge.

It is made of flour, Kibe spicy butter, Berebere spice mixture, Mitemita powdered seasoning and salt.

It is prepared by mixing roasted flour with boiling water until it becomes smooth before a hole is created in the middle which is then filled with Kibe and Berebere.

It is normally served with yogurt.

It is mostly eaten for breakfast.
