Gambia is a country in West African region of the African continent.

It's capital city is Banjul.

It has a population of about 2.1 million people.





Benachin or Cheb is a famous Gambian dish.

Benachin is one-pot chicken jollof rice.

It is made of  rice, chicken, onion, tomatoes, tomato paste, carrots, eggplant, cabbage, garlic, red bell pepper, chili pepper, black pepper, basil, bay leaves, salt and oil.

It is prepared by having chicken marinated and fried before being mixed with other ingredients and cooked rice.

It is mostly eaten for lunch.
