It is made of chicken, garlic, shallots, ginger, tomato, galangal, sugar, coriander, curry leaves, red chilli pepper, shrimp paste, lime juice, lemon basil, salt and oil.
The fried chicken is normally smashed with the pestle against mortar to make it softer
It is usually served with rice, spicy sambal chilli paste, sliced cucumbers, fried tofu and tempe which is made from fermented soybeans..
It is mostly eaten for lunch.
