It is made of flour, butter, sesame seeds, baking powder, honey, cinnamon, orange blossom water, saffron, vinegar, salt and oil.

It is normally coated with honey and sprinkled with sesame seeds.

It is usually served with harira soup which is made from chickpeas, lentils, tomatoes and spices.

It is mostly eaten as snack food or for special occasions.
