Tang Yuan is glutinous rice balls or glutinous dumplings.

It is made of glutinous rice flour, red mung beans, sugar, ginger, pandan leaves, red or yellow food coloring and salt.

It is normally filled with red bean paste.

It is usually served with sugar syrup flavored with pandan leaves and ginger.

It is mostly eaten as dessert.
