It's capital city is Mogadishu.

It has a population of about 11 million people.





Sabaayad or Kimis is a famous Somalian flatbread dish.

It is made from a dough of plain flour, water and salt which is rolled into rough square shapes and fried in a hot pan or griddle.

It is usually served with side dishes like curry and vegetables. It can also be rolled with butter, sugar or honey and eaten with sauces and tea.

It is normally eaten for breakfast or dinner.
