Tsebhi Birsen is a famous Eritrean dish.

Tsebhi Birsen is red lentil stew.

It is made of red lentils, fenugreek, ginger, turmeric, garlic, onion, cinnamon, tomato, tomato paste, allspice, cumin, cardamom, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, coriander, black pepper, salt and oil.

It is normally served with bread or rice.

It is mostly eaten for lunch.
