It's capital city is Vientiane.

It has a population of about 6.8 million people.







Mok Pa is a famous Laotian dish.

Mok Pa is steamed fish wrapped in banana leaf.

It is made of fish, sticky rice powder, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, cloves, shallots, galangal, chili, padaek fish sauce, egg, dill, spring onions, basil leaves and banana leaf.

It is normally served with sticky rice.

It is mostly eaten for lunch.
