Iran is a country in the Western Asian and Middle East region of the Asian continent.

It's capital city is Tehran.

It has a population of about 81.7 million people.





Tahdig is a famous Iranian dish.

Tahdig is spiced and steamed rice dish.

It is made of rice, ghee, saffron, butter and salt.

It is prepared by cooking rice with ghee in a pan so that the bottom layer of the rice gets fried while the top layer of the rice gets steamed.

It is normally served on it's own or with stews and vegetables.

It is mostly eaten for lunch.
