Knafeh (Syria food)

Syria is a country in the Western Asian and Middle East region of the Asian continent.

It's capital city is Damascus.

It has a population of about 18.5 million people.

Knafeh is a famous Syrian food.

It is also known as Kunafa, Knefeh, Konafa,  Kunefe or Kenafeh.

Knafeh is two layers of dough filled with cheese cream and drenched with sugar syrup.

It is made of kataifi pastry,  cornflour, cheese, butter, sugar, brown sugar, single cream, rose water, lemon juice, cinnamon, pistachios, walnuts and oil.

It is normally topped with pistachios and walnuts.

It is mostly eaten as dessert or snack food.
