It has a population of about 17.6 million people.






Sopaipillas is a famous Chilean food.

Sopaipillas is fried flatbread.

It is made of flour, pumpkin, butter, baking powder, salt and oil.

It is prepared by mixing all the ingredients to create a dough which is then flattened into circles and made 2 holes before fried until golden brown.

It is normally served with ketchup, mustard or pebre paste which is a mixture of tomato, onion, garlic and herbs.

It is mostly eaten for breakfast or as snack food.
