Kelewele is a famous Ghanaian food.

Kelewele is fried plantains mixed with spices.

It is made of plantains, ginger, cayenne pepper, onions, anise, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, chili powder, salt and oil.

It is prepared by peeling the plantains which is then cut into cubes and mixed with the ingredients before fried until brown.

It is normally served with beans stew and peanuts.

It is mostly eaten for dinner or as dessert.
