Peri Peri Chicken or Piri Piri Chicken is a famous Mozambique chicken dish.

It was introduced in Mozambique during Portuguese rule.

It refers to grilled chicken marinated in lemon juice, garlic and a dose of Peri Peri sauce. The Peri Peri sauce is is made from crushed chilli, citrus peel, onion, pepper, garlic, salt, lemon juice, bay leaves, paprika, basil, oregano and tarragon.

It is normally served with side dishes like french fries and rice.

It is mostly eaten for lunch or dinner.
