It has a population of about 9.8 million people.



Qutab is a famous Azerbaijani food.

Qutab is a type of stuffed flatbread or pancake.

It is made of flour, eggs, water and salt.

It is prepared by creating a stiff dough which is then rolled into a thin circular layer. The middle of each circle is filled with stuffing before folded into a crescent shape and then cooked on both sides on a hot griddle called saj.

It is normally stuffed with fillings such as cheese, pumpkin, spinach and greens.

It is usually served with yoghurt, green coriander, fennel and sumac.

It can be eaten for breakfast or lunch.
