Moldova is a country in the Eastern European region of the European continent.

It's capital city is Chisinau.

It has a population of about 3.3 million people.



Mamaliga is a famous Moldovan dish.

Mamaliga is a type of cornbread or porridge.

It is made from yellow corn flour, salt and water.

It is cooked by boiling corn flour, salt and water in a iron pot called ceaun or tuci.

It can be made thicker like bread or softer like porridge.

It is normally served with milk, salty cheese called brinza, red beet soup, salted fish and cracklings.

It is mostly eaten for breakfast.
