Chicken Madrouba or Omani Madrouba is a famous Omani dish.

Chicken Madrouba refers to beaten rice with chicken.

It is made of white rice, chicken meat, dried limes, onions, garlic, tomatoes, ghee, turmeric, cumin, coriander, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, cardamom and nutmeg.

The rice is cooked for long time and becomes soft like porridge.

It is normally garnished with fried onions, cardamom and ghee.

It is usually served with bread.

It is mostly eaten for lunch or special occasions.
