Kondre is spicy stewed plantains.

It is made of green plantains, chicken, onion, tomatoes, green onions, ginger, garlic, basil, thyme, parsley, celery,  white pepper, curry powder, bouillon powder, Njansa nutty spice, salt and oil.

It is normally served with rice.

It is mostly eaten for lunch.

It is prepared by wrapping peeled and grated cocoyam with cocoyam leaves which is then mixed with the ingredients and cooked.
